Laila’s Story

Leila, 69, is the only person left to look after her daughter’s children. Inhospitable living conditions and limited access to basic necessities make it difficult for them to survive in northwest Syria. After a visit from the emergency response team at SRD, Leila received blankets, mattresses, hygiene supplies, and more basic necessities. After suffering enormous losses, many elderly people in Syria have been forced to become the breadwinners of their families. You can help.
